Mission
Statement
It is our duty to protect them and give them knowledge to
succeed in this life and the next. As our future, our children
need to be aware of their responsibilities, actions and
duties in this life so that they may succeed and accomplish
their goals and achieve success in the hereafter. Islam
can only thrive when Islamic education is imparted to our
youth, in order to create a well-rounded socially aware
individual who knows the purpose and the methodology of
life. We need to cultivate leadership among our students
for the advancement of the Ummah.
Kathir ibn Qays said: I was sitting with AbudDarda' in
the mosque of Damascus. A man came to him and said: AbudDarda,
I have come to you from the town of the Apostle of Allah
(peace be upon him) for a tradition that I have heard
you relate from the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him).
I have come for no other purpose. He said: I heard the
Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) say: If anyone travels
on a road in search of knowledge, Allah will cause him
to travel on one of the roads of Paradise. The angels
will lower their wings in their great pleasure with one
who seeks knowledge, the inhabitants of the heavens and
the Earth and the fish in the deep waters will ask forgiveness
for the learned man. The superiority of the learned man
over the devout is like that of the moon, on the night
when it is full, over the rest of the stars. The learned
are the heirs of the Prophets, and the Prophets leave
neither dinar nor dirham, leaving only knowledge, and
he who takes it takes an abundant portion.

Aims
and Objectives
The aims of our school will be to
deliver the full range of National Curriculum subjects for
the relevant stages within an environment with an Islamic
Ethos. Thus we hope to facilitate and encourage the building
of a strong moral character, together with sound academic
performance, amongst our pupils. By providing stimulating
and differentiated work, setting tasks and goals that are
achievable by all, we aim to encourage all pupils within
the school.
We hope to equip our pupils with skills to face the challenges
of today's changing world by encouraging communication,
personal growth and confidence at all levels. A close
co-operation between the school, parents and the wider
community will also be one of our important priorities,
as research shows that when this is the case, the objectives
are met faster and more efficiently.
It is our desire to make our pupils ambassadors and leaders
of the future, to make a positive contribution to our
community at large. Insha-Allah we hope to make them beacons
of light for generations to follow.
Teachers
and Organisation
Our Staff have the necessary experience
and capacity to deliver a sound education. Our aim is also
to establish a framework to support staff in the tasks of
teaching and guidance so they can deliver the aims of the
school. We also intend to promote co-operation and unity by
providing an effective channel of communication for parents
and carers.
Olive Tree School aspires
to employ and attract the best teachers to teach our children.
In order to do so, we must pay these teachers competitive
salaries with mainstream state education. Teachers salaries
vary greatly depending on level of education and level of
teaching. An average salary has been calculated as being 16,000
Sterling pounds per annum. Could
